Review methodology
Our testing team follows the same sequence for every featured agent or catalog item.
- Order. We buy at retail through Kakobuy, using a standard account. We record order time, agent reply time, and domestic tracking.
- Warehouse QC. We request QC photos and compare them with the listing. We measure weight and dimensions with a calibrated scale and tape.
- Consolidation and shipping. We log consolidation fees, packing options, and shipping-line quotes to Rotterdam. We choose a line and track transit days.
- Hands-on checks. We unpack, photograph, and test fit, stitching, hardware, and smell. For apparel, we check shrinkage after one cold wash.
- Scoring. Two editors score each product. We use a five-point scale: 5 excellent, 4 good, 3 adequate, 2 poor, 1 very poor. We write scores as X / 5.
- Comparison. We add data to our agent comparison table, covering fees, QC photo quality, reply time, and shipping cost.
Changes to pricing or QC standards prompt a review of the affected findings. A repeated hands-on assessment states its date and repeats the relevant steps.
Comparison scope
Record the album URL, item reference, seller context, requested variant and date checked. An album is an information source, not proof of stock, seller identity or a binding price. Obtain a traceable specification and match it to the agent request, warehouse photographs and arrival observation. Preserve changed references as limitations. Branded photographs and labels cannot establish authenticity, authorization or lawful supply.
The review identifies the sample, dates, conditions and any steps omitted. A hands-on claim requires documented inspection or use; desk research is labelled. Scoring uses the complete 1-to-5 scale with the criteria and evidence explained, including unfavorable findings and missing information.
