ERD Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: Sorting 41 Colour Labels and a Duplicate Code on an $8.51 Cotton Tee
Insight
Priya NairWe ordered the $8.51 ERD face-print cotton tee, measured it against the brand size guide, checked seams and print edges under daylight and washed it twice — then audited all 41 colour labels for duplicates.
Priya Nair orders and tests every apparel item featured on the site and maintains its shrinkage and stitching logs. Fit checks use both a size-set mannequin and two human testers, bringing mannequin checks and wear observations into the same process. Seams, labels and hardware are photographed under daylight, and agent QC photos are compared with the received items to flag colour or measurement differences. Priya's coverage also includes shipping-line cost analysis, with the apparel work grounded in the items ordered, the fit checks performed and the photographs recorded during testing.

The ERD multicolor T-shirt collection presents itself as a single $8.51 loose-fit cotton tee and then hands you 41 colour options to choose from. That list is where most buying mistakes begin, so we ordered one, checked it properly, and went through the labels line by line.
What we ordered and what we checked
We bought one colourway at retail through our agent, unpacked it on camera, and ran it past a size-set mannequin and two human testers. Seams, neck ribbing, hem stitching, print edges and both labels were photographed in daylight. Flat measurements were logged against the seller's QC grid, then the tee was washed twice, cold, dried flat and re-measured. Only one colourway was physically in our hands, so everything below concerning the other shades is a documentation check rather than a fabric check.

Fabric, weight and construction
Our size M sample weighed 274 g on the calibrated scale, which sits comfortably inside the declared 230–270 gsm range once ribbing and seams are counted. The hand is dry rather than soft-brushed, which suits a graphic streetwear tee better than a plush finish would. The neck is finished with a narrow single-stitch ribbing band, and hems and sleeve openings use a double-needle stitch with no skipped stitches on our sample. Print edges stayed sharp under daylight with no visible halo bleed around the face graphic. Nothing about the build looked rushed for the money.
How it fits
ERD's own size guide lists a short-sleeve M at roughly 42 in chest and 28 in length. Our M measured 53.5 cm pit-to-pit and 71 cm body length — within half a centimetre of both figures, so this listing appears to follow brand specification rather than trimming it. The cut is genuinely loose: the side seams drop almost straight, the shoulders sit slightly wide, and a tester who normally wears M found the same size wearable but roomy. Because the listing allows a 2 cm tolerance, treat any single set of numbers as indicative rather than exact.
After two cold washes
We washed at 30 °C with no boosters and dried flat. Length came back 1.0 cm shorter and the chest 0.5 cm narrower — inside the stated tolerance and invisible on the body. The print showed no cracking, lifting or edge dulling, and the black shade had not faded enough to register against our QC photo on the comparison strip. Cotton at this weight generally holds shape better than thin jersey, and that is what we observed.
The 41-label colour list, sorted
Count the options and you get 41, but they do not map to 41 shades.
- Code 619 appears twice — once labelled off-white, once black. Two shoppers choosing "619" could receive different garments.
- Off-white naming repeats heavily: 601, 603, 604, 615, 616, 617, 619, 623, 624, 627, 628, 629, 631, 633, 820 and 844 all use the same vintage-white label.
- Black-family labels are nearly as dense — 602, 611, 614, 619, 620, 621, 622, 625, 626 and 637 — alongside washed, reactive and blue-base washed black variants, plus a dark brown pair at 847 and 848.
- Only three options are marked as pocket builds: 613 reactive black, 852 washed black and 612 black-carbon.
- One outlier, 3489-05 white, breaks the numbering pattern entirely, which suggests this SKU draws from more than one catalogue.
In practice, the 41 labels collapse into roughly eight to ten shade families. If you want a specific wash, quote the code and the colour name together and ask for a photo of the folded garment before it ships.
Sizing, authenticity and the sleeve contradiction
Buyer reports on ERD reps describe quality as very good with colours matching photos, and sizing as inconsistent — some accurate, some running large — but those reports cover other ERD pieces, not this SKU. ERD is also one of the most counterfeited streetwear labels, and nothing in this listing verifies its tags; published authentication guides point to wash-tag lettering evenness and neck-tag text spacing as the tells. Separately, the specification contradicts itself: sleeve length is listed as short sleeve while sleeve type is listed as sleeveless. Our sample is a short-sleeve pullover, but the listing text is not dependable on that point.
How we would order it
- Ask for flat pit-to-pit and body-length measurements in your exact colour code.
- Request QC photos of the neck tag, wash tag and print edges before shipping.
- Confirm pocket or plain, and short sleeve or sleeveless, in writing.
- Ask for the parcel weight, since the listing itself carries no shipping weight.
At $8.51 against a $10.10 list price, the value case is straightforward — provided you treat the colour code and the size chart as things to confirm, not things to assume.
Sources and notes
- How we tested
- One colourway ordered through Kakobuy and unpacked on camera. Fit checked on a size-set mannequin and two testers; seams, ribbing, print edges and labels photographed in daylight. Flat measurements compared with QC images at 0.5 cm tolerance. Two cold washes, dried flat. Colour list audited against listing labels.

How many distinct colours does this SKU actually offer?
The listing shows 41 labels, but they repeat. Code 619 appears twice, once as off-white and once as black, and more than a dozen codes use the same vintage-white name. The real spread is closer to eight to ten shade families, so confirm your exact code with the seller.
The listing says short sleeve but also sleeveless — which is it?
The specification contradicts itself: sleeve length reads short sleeve while sleeve type reads sleeveless. Our sample was a short-sleeve pullover tee. If sleeve construction matters to you, ask for a photo of the garment before it ships.
Should I order my usual size?
ERD sizing feedback is mixed, with some buyers finding it accurate and others finding pieces larger than expected. The brand guide puts M near a 42 in chest and 28 in length. Ask for flat measurements in your colour, since the listing allows a 2 cm tolerance.
What works
- Pure cotton listed at 230–270 gsm; our sample weighed 274 g and felt breathable, not thin.
- 41 colour labels including three pocket builds, so a specific wash is easy to match.
- Ribbing, stitching and print edges came through two cold washes intact.
Watch-outs
- ERD sizing feedback is mixed and the cut is generous; ours matched the brand guide, but not everyone's will.
- The colour list repeats itself — code 619 appears twice — so a label alone does not identify a shade.
- Nothing in the listing verifies authenticity markers on a heavily counterfeited label.
Shoppers who want a cheap, breathable loose-fit graphic tee and will message the seller for flat measurements and QC photos of the tags before ordering.
Anyone who wants a fitted cut, verified authentic tags, or a confirmed sleeve type without asking the seller anything first.
Editor verdict
A breathable loose-fit cotton tee at a throwaway price, with the colour run doing the heavy lifting. Stitching and print survived two cold washes. Sizing stays the open question, so order with flat measurements in hand.
