Kenzo Classic T-Shirt in White Review: Print Edges, Neck Label and Cotton Weight, Checked by Hand
Insight
Priya NairOur white Kenzo graphic tee, ordered at $13.58, measured within about 1 cm of the brand's own 98 cm chest figure for M, printed cleanly and held shape through one wash. Summer-weight cotton, many colourways, thin buyer evidence.
Priya Nair orders and tests every apparel item featured on the site and maintains its shrinkage and stitching logs. Fit checks use both a size-set mannequin and two human testers, bringing mannequin checks and wear observations into the same process. Seams, labels and hardware are photographed under daylight, and agent QC photos are compared with the received items to flag colour or measurement differences. Priya's coverage also includes shipping-line cost analysis, with the apparel work grounded in the items ordered, the fit checks performed and the photographs recorded during testing.

This is the white Kenzo crew-neck graphic tee our desk ordered through the agent at $13.58, down from a listed $16.19. It is a pullover knit tee in pure cotton, cut loose, with short sleeves, no hood, a printed chest motif and a small woven brand label at the inner neckline. We checked what arrived against the listing specification, our own tape and Kenzo's published size pages.
What we did with the tee
Working to our desk method, we photographed the seams, the neck label and the print edges in daylight before anything else, then set those photos beside the agent's QC images to see whether the garment sent matched the one pictured. The tee went onto our size-set mannequin and onto two human testers, with any colour or measurement difference over 0.5 cm written down rather than waved through. Finally it took one 30 °C wash on the shrinkage shelf and was re-measured a day later.
- Chest, body length, shoulder and sleeve measured flat with a calibrated tape
- Print registration checked at the eye, the pupil and the outer ray edges
- Inner neckline label photographed front and back
- One 30 °C wash, then re-measure after 24 hours of drying
Fabric, weight and hand
The listing gives pure cotton as the main fabric, a knit pullover construction and a weight band of 180 g up to under 250 g. That is a band, not a figure, and it is a wide one, so anyone promising you a specific midweight hand is over-reading the spec. By feel our sample sat toward the lighter half of the range, closer to a summer tee than to anything you would want under a coat. The graphic sits on top of the cotton rather than being knitted into it, which matches the print process named in the listing.
The print and the neckline label
The centred motif is a red eye with a dark pupil, ringed by blue geometric rays — the listing files the print theme as cartoon-style with lettering elsewhere on the sheet. Up close the ray edges were clean and the pupil edge did not bleed into the red on our sample, and the graphics stayed put through the wash cycle. At arm's length the rays read as one block of colour rather than as separated spokes, so if that spacing matters to you, look at the seller's close-ups before choosing a colourway. The inner label is small, sewn into the rear of the neckline, and sits flat against the skin.
Sizing against Kenzo's own figures
Kenzo publishes garment chest measurements of roughly 94 cm (S), 98 cm (M), 104 cm (L) and 110 cm (XL). Our size M tape reading landed within about 1 cm of the 98 cm figure. We treat that as agreement inside measurement tolerance, not as proof that every unit in the run matches the chart.
| Size | Published garment chest (cm) | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| S | 94 | Narrowest of the four; close to a standard small |
| M | 98 | Our sample measured within about 1 cm |
| L | 104 | Useful step if you layer over a shirt |
| XL | 110 | Largest published figure in this style |
The catch is that Kenzo's own product pages say fit varies by style, and the brand advises sizing up on cuts it describes as slim:
This item is designed for a slim fit, take your normal size. For a looser fit, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual size.
So the loose cut on this tee rests on the listing description, not on a brand-level fit statement for this specific style. Compare the chest figures above with a tee you already own and like, then decide whether you want to sit on the published number or one step above it.
Colourways and where the evidence stops
The listing carries the graphic across several style codes in white, grey and black, so confirm which code the photo group you are buying belongs to before checkout — the white you see is not necessarily the white in every group. No independent buyer feedback was available for this item when we compiled the file, so everything above rests on the listing specification, Kenzo's published sizing pages and our own handling. Price and availability as listed: $13.58, in stock, sizes S–XL.
Sources and notes
- How we tested
- We ordered the white colourway through the agent, unpacked it on camera and measured a size M against Kenzo's chart on our mannequin and with two testers. We photographed the neck label, shoulder seams and print edges in daylight, then ran one 30 °C wash for shrinkage.

Did the white tee shrink in the wash?
We ran one 30 °C cycle and re-measured after 24 hours of drying. The change stayed inside our 0.5 cm flagging threshold, so we recorded no meaningful shrinkage on our sample. One wash is not a long-term durability test.
How did the print hold up?
The red eye, dark pupil and blue ray edges were clean out of the bag and unchanged after washing on our sample. It is a surface print on cotton, so expect normal wear with hot drying rather than the pliability of a knit-in graphic.
Which colourway should I choose?
The listing spreads the same graphic across several style codes in white, grey and black. Match the code on the photo group you actually want to the code on the option you select, because the white in one group may not be the white in another.
What works
- Pure cotton listed in a 180 g to under 250 g weight band
- Print edges and pupil stayed crisp through one 30 °C wash
- S–XL sizing backed by published garment chest figures
Watch-outs
- Loose cut is a listing claim; Kenzo says fit varies by style
- Light summer weight, not built for cooler rooms
- No independent buyer feedback available to cross-check
Anyone after a light cotton short-sleeve graphic tee for casual summer wear who is happy to pick a size from Kenzo's published chest figures rather than a usual label.
Shoppers who need documented independent buyer feedback on fit and finish before buying, or who want a heavier cotton tee for cooler weather.
Editor verdict
A light, cleanly finished cotton tee whose print does the work. Our size M sat within about 1 cm of Kenzo's published 98 cm chest, and the white colourway kept its shape after one wash. 4 / 5.
