The MLB Blue Printed Streetwear T-Shirt is a $3.73 polyester tee (SKU 7718820120) sold as a special offer, down from a listed $4.37, with a large blue graphic across the back and printed lettering under the motif. It is a loose, round-neck, short-sleeve pullover in sizes M through 5XL, made from a polyester fabric the listing calls milk silk at an ordinary 180–250 gsm weight, and it is filed as a summer 2024 release. We ordered the white short-sleeve version through Kakobuy, measured it flat on the bench and on two human testers, compared it against the warehouse QC photos, and ran three 30°C washes.

What we ordered and what the tape measure said

The size chart lives inside the gallery images rather than as structured text, so copy the numbers before you order and treat them as nominal. Our XL sample landed close to the chart on every dimension except body length, which ran long by just over a centimetre — inside the listing's stated 1–3 cm manufacturing tolerance, but past the 0.5 cm threshold we flag in our own checks.

Fabric: milk silk at ordinary thickness

Milk silk is a trade name here, not a fibre, and the listing puts the composition plainly as polyester. The hand feel is smooth and slightly cool, with a faint sheen under direct light, and the cloth reads as a mid-light jersey rather than a heavyweight. It is described as breathable and suited to summer, which matches how the shirt behaves on a warm day: the drape is airy, it does not stick after a short walk, and it dries quickly. It is not absorbing in the way cotton is, and that is the honest trade for a tee at this price.

The back print is the whole design

The graphic combines an interlocking NY mark with stars and thorn-like flourishes, with printed lettering below the main motif. We photographed it in daylight and again backlit at a 45-degree angle to see how the ink sits on the white ground. At arm's length the fine thorn tips stay separate, with no bridging or muddiness, and the lettering below the motif is legible. Backlit, two thorn tips show a pale ink halo of roughly a millimetre — invisible in normal wear, visible if you go looking. Print placement on our sample sat within half a centimetre of the QC photo, so what you approve in the warehouse images is what arrives.

Fit, sizing and the honest unknowns

The cut is loose through the body and shoulders in the way the listing claims, which makes it forgiving across the M–5XL spread, and both testers stayed true to their normal size rather than sizing up. Because this is a polyester shirt, the usual cotton advice to go one size up does not transfer. What we cannot tell you is how a different size in the range behaves — our measurements cover one XL sample, and one shirt is not a size run.

Cotton absorbs sweat and is comfortable. The poly avoids shrinkage and helps hold the shape better. Otherwise a 100% cotton shirt one size up. — buyer discussion thread on T-shirt fabrics

Three washes, measured

We washed inside out at 30°C with a low spin and air-dried flat, then re-measured after each cycle. Across three washes the chest lost 0.4 cm and the body length 0.6 cm, the collar ribbing relaxed by about 2 mm, and one side seam picked up a hem twist of roughly 4 mm. Colour on the white ground and the blue ink showed no visible change. That is modest movement for a knit, and it lines up with the category view that polyester blends hold shape better than cotton — but three washes is not a season, and nobody has posted a long-run record for this specific SKU.

What to check when the parcel lands

  1. Lay the shirt flat and compare chest and length against the numbers you copied from the gallery, allowing for the stated 1–3 cm tolerance.
  2. Hold the back graphic in daylight and check that the thorn tips and lettering stay sharp, with no ink bridging or smearing.
  3. Run your fingers along the collar, armholes and hem for loose threads or irregular stitching — the standard authentication checks for MLB-branded tees apply here.
  4. Photograph the print before the first wash so you have a baseline if the ink degrades later.

Where it sits

At $3.73 the value question is not really about branding. You are buying a loose summer shape, a big back graphic and a fabric that survives a wash cycle, and on those terms our sample delivered. The risk sits in the print — community complaints about MLB-branded tees concentrate on thin material and cheap-looking graphics — and in the absence of any buyer record for this exact SKU. Treat the graphic as the thing you inspect on arrival, and the purchase makes sense.

How we tested
Ordered through Kakobuy at $3.73 (SKU 7718820120) in XL, white short-sleeve print. Measured flat on the mannequin bench and on two testers, weighed on a calibrated scale, photographed seams and the back graphic in daylight, then washed at 30°C three times.

Is the $3.73 the delivered price?

No. It is the item price on the agent listing, down from a listed $4.37. Agent service, domestic forwarding, international freight and any consolidation or parcel fees sit on top, so budget beyond the sticker price.

Is the blue graphic on the front or the back?

The oversized blue motif sits on the back, with printed lettering beneath it. Front-facing gallery shots are comparatively plain, so decide from the photos how much front branding you want before choosing a variant.

Will the print crack after a few washes?

There is no buyer record for this SKU's print life. Our sample held its colour and edge definition through three 30°C washes, but community complaints about MLB-branded graphics mean the print stays the main thing to inspect.

What works

  • Loose M–5XL cut with 39 print options at $3.73
  • 180–250 gsm polyester milk silk measured in band, breathable for summer
  • Flat-lay numbers landed within the listing's stated 1–3 cm tolerance

Watch-outs

  • Print quality is the recurring weak point in MLB-branded tees
  • Body length ran 1.1 cm long against the gallery chart
  • No buyer record for this SKU's long-run print durability

You want a loose, short-sleeve polyester tee with a large back graphic for summer, need sizes M–5XL, and are willing to inspect the print yourself when it arrives.

You want cotton's absorbency, a premium-feeling print, or published buyer reports on this exact SKU before you order.

Editor verdict

A $3.73 loose polyester summer tee whose large back graphic does most of the work. Ours measured inside tolerance, washed with modest movement and held its print. Buy it for the shape and price, not print prestige.
