MLB Multi-Color T-Shirt Collection: 40+ Review — Cotton Weight, Fit and Colorway Check

This listing is less a single T-shirt than a small catalogue: more than thirty black-and-white colorways sharing one short-sleeve crewneck pattern, including a 969 "Year of the Horse" option. We ordered the 910 black and 907 white in size L and ran them through the same unpacking, measurement and wear checks we apply to every garment on the desk.

What we ordered and how we tested

Both tees arrived at retail price through the agent, were unpacked on camera, then photographed under daylight with seams, neck ribbing, hems and the printed motif in frame. We compared images against the QC photos supplied before shipping. Our reviews editor checked the fit on a size-set mannequin and on two human testers, one of whom normally wears a fitted L and the other a loose L. Any colour drift or measurement difference above 0.5 cm against the listing was flagged and noted below.

Fabric, weight and construction

The seller lists 100% cotton with a name fabric of pure cotton, a 180 g–250 g weight band, a plain pullover build, regular short sleeves, a round neck and a loose cut. On the shelf it behaves like a mid-weight jersey rather than a light summer tee: opaque across the chest, no visible sheen, and a neck rib that holds its shape instead of curling after the first wear. Stitch density at the shoulder seam and hem is uniform on both units we handled, and the print edge is clean with no smeared registration.

The listing also states an antibacterial material function. That is a catalogue claim we cannot verify without a lab test, so treat it as marketing rather than a reason to buy.

Fit and the sizing problem

This is where the listing gets genuinely hard to resolve. The size run is S through XXXL with a stated 1–2 cm measurement tolerance, and the cut is described as loose. Buyer reports on MLB-branded clothing disagree with each other: one long-running Chinese buyer source describes the brand as running generous and says shoppers often size down, while a US buyer reporting on Nike-made MLB tees said a normal L wearer needed an XL.

Our own read: the body is cut with room through the chest and a straight hem, consistent with the "loose" description, and it sat well on the tester who prefers a relaxed L. The tester who wears a fitted L found the same size wearable but boxier than expected. The honest conclusion is that this listing needs your own chest measurement, not a rule of thumb — compare the listed chest figure for your size against a tee you already own, and if you sit between two sizes, decide whether you want drape or a closer fit.

Colorways and print

Almost the entire range is black or white — 910, 903, 906 through 970, plus the 969 Year of the Horse pair. Colour consistency between the QC images and the delivered black was close; our daylight comparison showed no drift above the 0.5 cm-scale threshold that would suggest a different dye lot, and no grey cast under indoor light. Prints are letter and geometric motifs, sized modestly enough that they read as branding rather than costume.

Care: the one real unknown

The listing gives no care instructions. We hand-washed at a low temperature and air-dried rather than tumble-drying, and neither unit moved beyond our flagging threshold during the check. That does not settle the question, because the only care-related complaint on record for MLB-branded tops is severe shrinkage after a single wash.

"I bought a hoodie from the MLB official flagship store and washed it after trying it on. A month later it had shrunk badly. Customer service simply said it was past the warranty period." — translated complaint, posted August 2025.

That garment is a hoodie, not this tee, and it is a single report. We are flagging it rather than treating it as proven. Check the label on arrival and keep heat out of the equation.

Price, value and ordering notes

At 7.91 USD against a listed original of 8.45 USD, with roughly 40 variants and a full S–XXXL size run, the value case rests almost entirely on which colorway you pick and how confident you are in your size. A SKU with this many options is a known weak point for agents: confirm the exact colour code and size in your order notes, and check the QC photos against the variant image before the parcel leaves the warehouse.

Bottom line: the cotton and finish hold up to inspection at this price, the colourways give you room to be specific, and the only thing standing between a good purchase and a disappointing one is whether you measure yourself before ordering.
